Browse uploading users

No objection to permit uploading from my files. However, when
I try to browse uploaders very often the browse is not permited, Why?
If I am willing to allow uploading why can I not have the same
browse function you are using??:( :(

Uploading and browsing are two different kind of functions. The browsing/ chat depends on many factors and is not always reliable.
But that doesn't mean that you can't download from hosts you're unable to browse or chat with.

Blocked Browsing

I should have been clearer. I check the uploads while in progress from
my site. Often I find I am unable to browse the user uploading from
me. Mostly it's blocked. Or user will not permit browsing his site.

If your nibbling at my apple then politeness should permit me to also
nibble at your selections while your uploading. At time I can have
7 or 8 uploading and not one will allow downloading selections from them.

That's a big Boo!!

Take another look. Some of those people are in places where allowing a browse
or an upload would be downright stupid.

In any case, gnutella is about sharing freely, not about tit-for-tat trading.
Allow people the freedom to share whatever they please or not at all, and
remember that many of those people who have nothing to share are just
starting out and will probably be able to in the future once they have
successfully downloaded some stuff they like.

Browsing hosts problems, more of the same......

I upgraded to LM 4.12.3 about 2 months ago?!?, from LM 4.10.9, and ran into the same problem browsing hosts from the Monitor section. I would wait for them in the Search section, but nothing would happen-they'd just sit there. So after getting tired of this for a week i went back to my old version and lo and behold the browse host worked perfectly.

I just loaded up 4.12.3 again: forgetting the problems the last time. The same problems all over again.

Unless someone has a fix for this I'll stick with LM 4.10.9!!!
