i'm also new here.i have this problem i can't seem to connect to bearshare .it used to work well in our laptop(windows xp) but in our new desktop it wouldn't work(vista)i can't figure it out anyone care to help?

Bearshare and vista

Hello,

Had the same problems but I messed around with vista a bit and found this to get bearshare to atleast work on my vista.

Right Click on bearshare icon. Go to properties and click on compatibility. I set my program to run under Windows XP SP2 and disable desktop composition, and Run this program as an administator.

Are we talking about the 'test' and BearStart utility BearShare? If not then I'd assume any other version that one is using is whats giving you the connection issue.

I'm new here to but i think that the test and the utility does not work neither
