Default Can't connect - firewall problem?

I need help in getting connected. See my Beardiag.exe summary below.

Code:
BEARDIAG ISSUES - brief summary: (Extracted on 2008/04/02 14:21:19)
Physical Memory size of 254.5Mb may be an issue.
BearShare version 4.7.3.2 found. We recommend the 5.1.0.b25 beta version - see Recommended BearShare downloads
BearShare currently shows port 6346 for TCP and port 34251 for UDP that need to match with your firewall/router configuration
BearShare configured 'Connection Type' is satellite - may need checking in Setup/Connection.
You are behind a NAT firewall and/or router. They need to be correctly configured to allow BearShare to access the Internet.
 BEARDIAG: Bearcare for BearShare.

Go to the View menu and enable the Hosts view.
What can you see happening in there?

After enabling, it attempts to conect to a number of different hosts and times out. I have also set up a static IP address and assigned the port number recommended for TCP and UDP and then rebooted - still no success.

Try unzipping this into the C:\Program Files\BearShare\db folder:

File Type: zip connect.zip (36.8 KB, 330 views)

I tried this, but still no connection. All the host attempts time out still.

Then it's probably AT&T blocking it.
That's who your ISP is leasing from.
Did it ever work for you before?

Actually, it is CenturyTel. We recently changed to this host, and no, I haven't yet been able to use Bearshare with it.

I can see your ISP from here, and they are a customer of AT&T.
It's possible that the block is one of their temporary ones, which
typically expire after a few weeks. In the meantime, Vuze (Azureus)
or µTorrent with encryption turned on and in forced mode will
probably still work well.

Default connect.zip did job for me

I recently had a new cpu built, had to reinstall all software plus BearShare, and ran into same host connection problems. Tonight, I joined this forum, found a possible answer in Aaron's post; I downloaded, extracted into the db file. And now it works! Thanks Aaron. My ISP is local phone company, Gallatin River Communications, who just changed their name to CenturyTel. Coincidence?
