i downloaded all the themes i wanted but i'm not able to use them. i think because i'm missing the .lwtp files. where can i get them? they're not in the zipped files and that's the only thing i can think of that's stopping my from applying these skins. anyone please help me if you can. thanks...suprj.

How did you download them? Through LimeWire or through your Browser? I find it's better to download them from LimeWire because once it's downloaded, LimeWire will ask you if you want to use the new theme/skin.

I NEED HELP!! I like to make my own limewire themes, but I don't know how to get them to limewire....i looked it up and on limwire.com it said that I should save my file to c:/documentsandsettings/USERNAME/.limewire, but there is not .limewire file there....i tryed to create one, but it didn't let me...did i install it wrong or something? becuz i did it to my friends limewire and it worked becuz he had a .limwire folder, but i dont so please help i just want my own colors and stuff....please email me at Jesusfreak7132@aol.com....

See if your preferences folder (.limewire folder) is in the new location...
C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/LimeWire

This is a hidden folder, so be sure to show hidden files & folders within tools > folder options > view

i need help making skins. I Want to know how to make splashes and other stuff. but i dont have money or the time to get the expensive programs. so i will be open to any free and malware free programs. thank you.

I had the same problems with the themes. the only way i got them to work was to:


create a new folder in limewire/theme folder and name it the theme you have downloaded eg: red_theme.
extract the zipped file into the new folder you created.

within the limewire/theme folder copy any of the lwtp files that are already in there and paste it in the same location, then just rename it to the theme you have downloaded eg: red_theme lwtp.
