A problem with skins... directory doesn't exist ... and .JAR file? I went to the limewire website. I downloaded some skins through HTTP. The site said to put the skin files in "C:/documents and settings/(your username)/limewire/themes". Well, I looked, and that directory doesn't exist. So, I searched for "Themes" in the XP search... I got a JAR file. I know that's not it... I don't even know what a .JAR file is! What didn't I read or do? Can somebody help me? :bangh: :bangh: :bangh: |
I just use the default skin, but try reading through this thread: Limewire Skins. It covers it pretty well. |
Another way to install (through limewire) Hi, i know i had a lot of problems with downloading the skins, (especially more than one...and to be able to see it in the menu {view} in limewire) have you tried installing it into limewire??? try this with limewire open http://www.limewire.com/english/content/skins.shtml <-- this is the link to beable to install it into limewire double left click on the link that says "download into limwire" in limewire at first it should say on the download "need more sources" under status this would be in the in the download section {under the search tab} right click on "need more sources" and select "find more sources for download" it should then start downloading it will either automatically change into your theme or you will have say so a bow comes up (i'm not sure what it says but i just selected to do it automatically-so it will automatically change into that theme) to keep this theme.... go to the view menu, under apply skins... left click "refresh skins) then you should have this theme... and you can get many more this way and beable to chaneg back and fourth ((((my computer windows XP----->> although i think this way should work on any version)))) :) |
