I am very upset with this. It still isn't working. As for it eating up memory, I know exactly what you are talking about. I left it running one day and came home to find the 'blue screen of death'. The message from Windows was it didn't have enough memory. I run Win2000K with 256 MB memory...30 G harddrive. The only other program I left open was Musicmatch. I sent them a message with a return receipt to make sure they saw it. I have yet to hear back from them. It's bad enough to happen much less when you pay for it!

Performance problems

If startup is slow: how many files are you sharing? If you stop sharing files and restart, is it still slow?

If the "steady-state" is slow: are you a leaf or an ultrapeer? Are you receiving a lot of messaging traffic? Does the problem persist if you disconnect ("File->Disconnect")? Any uploads or downloads in progress?

As for me, I'm sharing about 200 files, but I deleted all folders related to LW and Java VM (even the incomplete folder) and re-installed Java 1.4 and Limewire 2.4.3 once again and the same thing happened.

Now LW has been running for 12 hours, and things looks stable, but I'm only getting 5-6% of the search hits I used to get in earlier versions, and the connecttions also seems to "close themselves" much more often than before.

I also tried to decrease the number of connections (from 6 to 3) with no luck, they still disappear after a couple of minutes.

In ver.2.4.0 and later, it looks like the up- and downloads freezes after a while, and stays at 0Kb/s until I manually kill them.

Some other info:
I'm running Win2KPro on a PIII/800, 512Mb ram, 18Gb SCSI HD, 100MBit LAN with a 1024/256 ADSL connection through a Linux router/firewall.

Oops, forgot to mention that I'm always running as Leaf.
Here is screenshots of my connections and statistics

Man, - what are you complaining about? That still looks pretty normal to me (except the upload count - I have a upload count of ~20,000 at the moment... but I'm also sharing divx movies)
