LimeWire to incorportate G2? Shareaza has.

From what I have heard the G2 protocol smokes the current gnutella one . It is supposedly much faster, and has an infinite search horizon. If this is true, I dont see why the current gnutella protocol should be further developed. What is Limewires opinion on this matter? As great and innovative as Limewire is, the biggest problem I feel with the network is the limited search horizon An infinite search horizon coupled with partial file sharing and things would be cookin'.

Good Luck
and Thanx.

So far, Gnutella2 is a proprietary protocol. The decision will be made when/if it is released to the public.

Cool out bpmax-
This is a forum, ideally where ideas and thoughts can be discussed- lets keep the ultra pro-limewire , behaviour to a minimum. First of all I have used the new beta Shareaza and I have to say that I am impressed with the interface. I could tell that the coder spent alot of time developing it. Its a good peice of work IMO. But I do find it disturbing that he would release the finial version of Shareaza and then, release the code for G2 (shady comes to mind)
Additionally, G2 on paper looks good but to tell you honestly I really couldn't find to many search results. Now I'm not an software engineer, but this could be due to bug or few people are actually using Shareaza.
As a consumer I think Shareaza is a good program but, as a Macintosh user I will continue to support Limewire, because whats good for limewire is good for the mac.
So please dont flame people for thinkinig that the G2 is a good idea - because in theory, it is- in fact- any changes to the current gnutella protocol is a good idea.
