"could not download"

I just upgraded to Limewire 2.9. Now EVERY file comes up "Could not Download". This is a message I've never gotten before, now it's a constant. What does it mean and what can I do about it?

You can treat it the same as you treated "Requery sent..." before.

"Cound not download" - waiting for more sources

I am getting the same problem. Since I have downloaded 2.9.6, most of the songs come up as "could not download". Some begin to download and half way through it changes to could not download...

It is very very frustrating. Limewire seems to be getting less and less useful...

just repeat the search to refresh/find new alternate sources. I can see the download trying the new alternate sources found in the tooltip window when holding the mouse tip over the stalled download. In the 24 hrs since I installed 2.9.7 I haven't seen the "could not download" once. I do refresh the searches about once an hour or so, but ran all night with no problems.

2.98 vs 2.86

I downloaded 2.98 and installed it. Ran several searches and tried to download a couple MP3's that should 3-4 duplicate sources. I got the same problem. Could not download, Awaiting sources...

After an hour of not being able to download 1 mp3 file, I went back and reinstalled 2.86 over the 2.98 and bingo, 4 of my selected files started to come in immediately.

I'm no brain surgeon, but something with 2.98 isn't working. At least not here.
