Will Limewire support AAC files metadata?

All is in the title. I think it would be great to have m4a files when your looking for music trough the music search panel!

No. Not in the forseeable future. There are no usable open-source AAC decoders at the moment.

Yes. iTunes can make non-DRMed AAC files, as can any QuickTime aware application.
