LimeWire 3.9.4 Beta

The LimeWire 3.9.4 beta is released, with the pro version available from a link on your Pro download page, and the free version available from the LimeWire download page.

This release contains NO BUNDLED SOFTWARE OF ANY KIND. Yes, that means no LimeShop, even in the Free version. (There is still an icon drop, but that's just because we forgot to remove it. It'll be gone in the next release.)

Other than that, this is mainly a bug-fix release.

Expect a few more betas, and then 4.0!

Thanks,
The LimeWire Team

Will the free non betas versions have no spyware too (on windows of course)? If so, great, great, great:cool:

Merci

Update for the GUI slowdown, being an UP creates the problem much faster on my system (one day in UP vs several in leaf mode).

Good move! Great indeed.
Sam, would you mind giving us some idea of what bugs were fixed? (i.e., can I stop looking for that possible memory leak/gui slowdown?)
Thanks

I've only had 3.9.3 installed for a day and already another one is out :D I did find that with the 3.9.3 it would stop downloading the files I wanted, and just stay at 0%. If I closed the program and also closed it from the task bar, then launched it again, it would start downloading again. So what Bug fixs are there in this one.

Sorry for the late reply... bit busy around here.

The changes in 3.9.4 included:
- Server side support for a new upcoming feature.
- Fix to correctly mark GWebCaches that give bogus data as errored, pointed out by Jens-Uwe Mager.
- Fix to not use redirects on GWebCaches, submitted by Frederic (last name?)
- Fix to not make an HTTP connection when verifying THEX XML trees.
- Fix to not allow incompatable themes to be used.
- Fix to speed up switching to the library & the first search.
- Fix to include User-Agent as LimeWire in HTTP requests made by Java's internal processes.
- Fix for black theme and progressbars.

A 3.9.5 should be out shortly....
