Go the Apple Menu>Control Panels>Internet>Advanced>File Mapping-make sure QT is mapped to open all the mp3 files.

Also, do the same thing in the File Exchange Control Panels.

Rebuild your desktop using Techtool Lite.

OS 9 is not a stable system. You should consider updating to OS 9.1 from Apple's free download site while it's still free!
