limewire beginner As "LimeWire"- beginner (Version 4.0.7 auf Mac 9.0 mit DSL-Verbindung) i've got some questions about the options: - is a DSL- connection a fast connection to serve as a ultrapeer ? If yes, does it slow down the speed of my d/ls ? - how many d/ls can I do at the same time without reducing the speed ? Or doesn't it matter ? - how many searches can I do at the same time without reducing the speed ? Or doesn't it matter ? - what does kompression mean? the connecting window: i've got max. 4 connections at the same time; the protokoll shows everywhere ultrapeer. Why can't there be more ? the search window: sometimes there is a connection, the status column shows "download from x computers" but nothing happens in the speed column (0 kb/s). That's it for the moment, it would be very kind, if someone could help me. susi 5000 |

More than 10 downloads at the same time causes your connections to become a little instable, I wouldn't increase that value beyond 10. You can do as many searches as you want. More open search windows just need a little more memoy. Compression reduces the Gnutella message traffic. This is important if you are acting as an ultrapeer. |
Re: Re: limewire beginner Thanks a lot. I am using the beta version, is there a ig difference between beta and full version ? susi5000 |
