Limewire won't connect anymore!!!

Ok, so I've never posted here before but I've been using Limewire for several years now, and I've run into a problem I don't quite understand. Just last week it was working fine, but now all of the sudden it will not connect! I keep trying and trying but it just won't work. I know it's not an internet or firewall problem, as my internet connection is fine, and I've never had any firewall problems before (so I can't see why I'd have them now). Anyway I'm on a macOS9 and am using the most recent beta version. Any help here would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

I downlord Windows XP Service Pack 2 last week, then, LimeWire can't connect, so I unstall it, and now LimeWire works.

Hey people this is a connection issue not a beta issue (ie: should've posted in connection problems section.)
Captain Screwbarb make sure your LW options haven't changed (such as for your firewall - also check your firewall settings.) See this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=26886
Confisk8d131 you said you uninstalled & reinstalled : was that LW or SP2? SP2 changes a lot of the settings you may have had before. Win's firewall is by default turned on when updating to sp2. Have a look at the above link. Also, unless you absolutely need it, why not uninstall sp2. It has caused havoc among businesses & personal users. Else, check all your settings & search this forum for sp2. (once you install a service pack it's very difficult to 'fully' uninstall it. This was a M$ warning! - I should emphasise that note!)
