What version are we on now?

On the site it says the latest is 4.0.8
Mine says it's running 4.1.5

So either I skipped forward in time and am getting stuff before it's made or there is an error on the site.
Maybe my powerbook is SOOO powerful it can see the future....

hmmmmmmm...... I wonder

lol 4.1.5 is the beta version, it's not the official release version. Beta is a pre-release version of the final thing. It's to allow new ideas to be tested out. But 4.1.5 has many improvements that've solved many people's problems so we'd actually recommend it. Personally I really like it. And version 4.2 when it comes out will be even better.

RobSaint you are one member of a top secret time warp experiment. Now after you saw the future and can remember it, we have to terminate your existence. ;)

It's not top-secret... Go to the download page and click on the "BETA" button to get the 4.1.5 version. All 4.1.x versions are betas, all 4.0.x version are releases. (Since LimeWire 4, the second digit of the version number will be even for releases, odd for betas).

There are also the "alpha" versions available only to developers working with the CVS open-source project: no version number for them, because they change constantly with the ongoing developments (you'll see "@version@" displayed...). If its user has the latest sources, it corresponds more or less to version 4.1.6, and is nearly what will be in the next release version 4.2.x, unless there's a new intermediate precompiled beta made available to download on the LimeWire site.

Beta versions will not go to download.com.

I'm not understanding the last part of your question. The scorecard on my beta is 3UP-0-0-0-0 is that what you mean. Are you acting as an UltraPeer (is this option ticked in your Speed options/prefs)? To increase efficiency, share a reasonable no. of files so you can connect to more people. And see these pointers for optimising LW: Suggestions A and also Suggestions B.
