Get Rid Of The Player

I'm using the newest BETA version of Lime wire and I personally think that the little media player feature should be removed. All it'll do is cause more problems than its worth. Kazza for example, it would constantly freeze up when the media player would get put to use. Not only that its starting to look a little lilke Kazza too.

Lime Wire isn't Kazza, why use its features?

Even though the LW media player is not the best, it is still useful.

I disagree with getting rid of it, because it is handy to preview songs quickly. Otherwise you would have to play it with your default player every time, so the incomplete songs might get added to your library.

Maybe they could try to improve the media player instead of getting rid of it.

I like the player. I find it handy to occasionally preview.

Won't disagree

Ok, I won't dissagree with one of those comments but I still think its starting to take the look of Kazza, with the player stuck in the bottom right corner. If the player is gonna stay it needs help.. Lots of it too.. A powerful player is good, but not to the extent of the slower machines not being able to use it either.

A feature to defintly KEEP is the option to use or not use the player, so people such as myself who aren't so impressed with it can still use our defaults.

From what I've read about updates in the LW beta versions, the media player has gone thru some improvements. And apparently they're still working at it bit by bit, or is that now & again, lol :D well, it'll get better than what it is now in the present official release.
I'd have to agree with Norm about the previewing. It's a pain to have iTunes copy a partial file to its library. I don't believe LW dev's are making a deliberate attempt to copy from another p2p app. Dwnlding music, a player goes with it, a tool of the trade so to speak.
