![]() Why is 4.6 released so soon? What is significant enough to up version to 4.6 instead of 4.4.6? Is the "reduced message propagation delay to 0ms" (the only core change) a big change? In what way? Many questions to answer... But anyway, an update to the best filesharing client is always welcomed! Merci beaucoup ![]() 4.6.0 (02.22.2005) --- - Reduced message propogation delay to 0ms. - Cleaned up borders around selections on lists and borders on OSX. Thanks to Roger Kapsi for contributing this. - Added a border around the entire row of a selection on non OSX systems. - Fixed the 'speed' column in uploads & downloads to sort correctly. Thanks to Erik Meade for contributing this. - Fixed so that selecting empty space in a table deselects the current selection. Thanks to Roger Kapsi for contributing this. - Removed file-view functionality.

![]() speaking of file view--generating magnet links still works. With fileview functionality removed, could we select multiple files to generate a single page of multiple magnet links as an alternative? et merci for the changelog et voilà ![]() and for the record . . . the download of the "4.6.0 Beta" (from my previously bookmarked beta page) correctly turned out to be the 4.6.0 Pro. (btw Sam IIRC you're coming up on your 2nd year as a LW dev. Hope it's still rewarding ![]() edit: doh! Multiple file selection is already implemented for magnets. ![]() Two possible bugs: thanks to et voilà for even more info 1) generating a magnet link for a japanese file didn't work in Safari (the file name is shown as a bunch of ? marks). I tried various ways of setting Safari encoding to UTF-8, as Roger suggested, but LWseems to generate the filename in Latin. 2) The name copies and pastes the japanese characters correctly within LimeWire and from the Finder to the LimeWire search box, but the backspace key and text-edit cursor seem to be off by several spaces. (shows in CVS Feb 18 and 4.6.0 on OS X 10.3.8 with the latest Security update) Last edited by stief; February 23rd, 2005 at 07:39 PM. |

![]() I'm trying to check out swarming, and something seems wrong--swarmed uploads are really down on my machine. Prefs look OK . . . For example, I'm currently checking with a 498MB .mpg from the "What's New" search (did a search then to get even more sources). It has plenty of sources--670; 25 valid; 208 invalid), but in 2 1/2 hours, I've only seen 5 chunks completed in the Monitor pane. This seems really low. Is anyone else seeing this? I started noticing this a few weeks, but just wrote it off to coincidence. [edit: you want this thread for posting the 4.6 oddities Sam, or would you prefer a new thread for each issue?] Last edited by stief; February 26th, 2005 at 10:25 AM. |
