Music Wont Play!!!

When i download the music files and try to launch them, the windows media player pops up and no music plays. Please help. What can i do?

If media player refuses to play your songs automatically, you can browse your shared folder, which is by default C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared

how would i do that? (sorry im kinda bad when it comes to computers) And now when i download songs it says it cant move them to the library, what can i do about this?

Start from your empty desktop. Double click these icons in the following order:

My Computer
C:
Program Files
LimeWire
Shared

If it says it couldn't move the file to the library, look in the Incomplete folder, which is also in the LimeWire folder. You may need to rename it (F2 key), but you can safely cut and paste it to somewhere else.

Sorry in the Limewire folder in program files there is no shared folder.

Click

Start
Find
Files or Folders

Type in "shared", and look for a folder. Double click on the icon if it comes up in the search results.

Go to the search window you did earlier and this time look for "incomplete", and open for a folder. Your songs should be there, but they will be named something weird. Just double click on the icons and see what song plays.

I can get the files to play, but do i have to use the windows media player that has to have a box sticking out?

Thank you very much

Installing a new mp3 player will usually reassociate your files to the newly installed player. Many programs are better than Windows Media Player, but I recommend Winamp for the most positive listening experience.
