Farewell LW

After using LW for past 1.5 years I'm switch to something else that actuslly works which you don't have to rack your brains trying to get it to actually download consistantly.

I've read trhru the form and saw several messages from folks describing my problem. Unfortunately the answers do not help fix the problem of downloading & uploading activity.

When I 1st start LW after it settles down the download queue stars back up with 2 to 6 files that start incrementing between 1kb and 60kb. After about 10 minutes of this all the current downloads fade away to 0 kb speed and nevere starts up again.

I just installed n old version of shareaze and I'm downloading consistantly again. When one file completes the program finds and starts another in my download queue.

Shareaza sucks, it lowers every Gnutella user' speed: avoid at all costs. Use Bearshare lite instead http://www.bearshare.com/lite/

You could alternativly download the latest LW beta: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml

Ciao

PS: Shareaza is bad philosophy P2P! It is acceptable only if you use G2 without the other networks.

I just joined this limewire and want to get rid of it already. But I can't find an e-mail address to let them know to cancel my credit card subscription. I can't believe how difficult it is to use and then they don't let you get out of it. Can you help?

There is no subscription, see http://gnutellaforums.com/showthread...threadid=40161

Seems you've been scammed.

I dont know why people have so much trouble with Lime Wire. Its great and I have not had one problem with it ever. I get great speeds and always have great luck with it. So I will never change to any other... If your having trouble it could be your ISP, some dont like you sharing or you just dont know how to work it..

Some may not like my sentiment but I am glad to see that users, who can't understand or won't depending on the view, are leaving LimeWire. A small, strong network is more efficient than a large misconfigured, bloated octopus. I have seen where this forum has addressed many issues and tried to resolve programming conflicts that are mainly a configuration or computer problem totally unrelated to LimeWire. I have installed LimeWire on "several" computers that I "know" are properly configured and MAINTAINED. The biggest problem I've had with some of my users is them searching for apples and typing the word orange. As far as slow download peeds, consider....right now I am on cable connection express....I have 19 users uploading from me right now. I am on this forum and installing a new program at the same time. I am also downloading for my ownself. No problems for me. Sorry to see people go, but if you refuse to understand and accept all this........Ciao.
