LimeWire 4.9.10 Beta

The LimeWire 4.9.10 beta has been released. You can download the free version from the LimeWire download page. PRO users can download the beta from their personal download page.

This release brings you some new splash screens and fixes some problems that were accidentally introduced in 4.9.9.

Please test this beta extensively. We intend to go make this our new stable version very soon.

We'd like to thank every one of you beta testers for your help in getting this new version out of the door - without your input many of the nasty bugs would not have been discovered. Keep up the good work!

- The LimeWire team

dont worry, 5.0 betas will soon follow ;)

zab July 28th, 2005 08:05 PM

Hey, if you like it that much you can always write your own betas ;-) Also our friend Gregorio tends to often have some bleeding-edge features (like bittorrent, DHT, chat, kitchen sink) in the betas he builds.

ultracross July 28th, 2005 08:31 PM

yea, but i cant get them to run without a serious error ;)

most impressive!

i'm very happy with the progress of the beta program. 4.9.10 beta is a huge step up to 4.9.9 as far as cpu usage goes. i have a crappy hp pavilion with an celeron processor and i've yet to have any major problems. keep up the good work :)

Where did the arrows between the search and search windows go? That allowed you too make the search results go the size of the screen.

The other ones still remain between the downlaod window and search results.

All about cosmetics

Hi there,
Great new beta!

I just wanted to underline cosmetic bugs on the OS X version. I'm running Tiger 10.4.2 with Java 5 as the default JVM.

- The new splash screen which own a grey bar that fit the loading bar disappear at launch for the former one... I don't know if the awaited behavior.

- Moreover, the loading progress bar, that shows up at the bottom of the main window launchs is half hidden.

Thanks

Disconnect

Has this now fixed the random disconnect issue for some people? You say you've almost finished, but I won't be able to use it unless that is fixed! Someone reported they still had it in 4.9.10...

found a typo: options>searching>basic

take a look at "clear downloads" it should be like "License Popup" or something.

also another typo that was previously posted by another: options>status bar> bandwidth indicator on the tick box says firewall indicator.

btw zab, once your ready to start fixing bugs again, ill post a compiled list of current bugs.

and im still wondering along with others.. where did the left search pane vertical stretching thing go?
