Just started running 4.9.22 Unable to port forward for some reason shows firewall icon tried 4 different times reset router and all. Bug report say receiving,False but this is the first time that LW has connected as a UP when Firewall icon was showing connected 24 waited 20 min still 24 started search drooped to 23 search results good started 20 simultaneous DL little slower speed than previous 490 was best I saw. 2 corrupt file messages all DL completed all were 4 star with at least 2 locations. Others are having a very hard time trying to connect to me in 20 min. only 1 and only at 0 to 1kb lost them after a couple minutes. I am going to leave in UP for another 30 min and see what happens. If connections don't improve will switch to leaf.

After a hour still at 23 connections. Switched to UPnP leaf mode listening to port 6346. Incoming, False firewall Icon present Search Good speed about the same, memory usage 25mb thats good. Most people connected at 1 time 3 at 40kb out of a possible 10. Keep trying guys one of these days you will get it figured out. But all files are getting hits

LimeWitch is suffering some pretty serious freezeups again. Fails to follow exit commands. Running 4.9.22. Uploads to network are suffering relative to earlier BETA's. Downloads are standard but lack the speed of earlier BETA's. Disconnecting from network but at same time seems to be downloading.

Still running UPnP some time in the last hour firewall icon disapered . Recieveing incoming True still only 3 UL out of 10 avaiable. when Idel drops to 1 but havent noticed a disconect yet.

You guys might be interested in knowing that only the GUI has had some fixes since 4.9.19. So connections, downloads, uploads behave the same since then. The main CORE programmer, here known as Zab is (I believe) on vacation right now. So as beta testers, we might want to focus on GUI issues until Zab returns ;)

I can confirm the cannot be UP with UPnP activated. Even with ports open and no UPnP, LW as a leaf sometimes detect falsely a firewall. Don't worry for transfers though, with firewall to firewall transfers, there is no problem...

Sorry to tell you I don't know sh*t from Shinola, GUI from CORE. I just know what kind of problems I am having with any one particular program. Now I am testing or was testing a program that is trying to be improved upon. "I" don't know what is being worked on. I ain't a programmer. I don't write code. And I didn't charge 14.50 US. So when "ZAB" gets back from vacation, send me a message and I'll come back too and maybe try this proggie again.

Don't quite get it, if only the graphic user interface has been changed then why do I get different symptoms with different versions of LimeWire. Like deacon I am no programmer the only programing I do is creating spread sheets and understand very little about it. Are these problems that already existed or does making changes in the GUI create new problems. Just trying to understand.
After reading this just to make it clear I know that spread sheets and Java programs are not even close to the same animal.

Gust discovered something I haven't seen before with LimeWire open on the library tab. If I use the slide bar to rapidly scroll shared files it will make the CPU usage go to 100% this could be a possible freeze point and cause some CPU to get stuck in a loop.

Well been running 4.9.22 a while now everything seem to have settled down now it is no longer falsely detecting a firewall. It will not connect as UP in UPnP mode though no big deal. It seems to stay connected when Idle every time I checked had the 1 connection UL only I did not notice it dropping to 1 when DL will have to check that latter. DL speeds and UL speeds good, good search results. Left ruining all night all was fine in the morning rather pleased with memory usage the highest I saw was 70MB with heavy searching and DL and when it finishes its tasks it will drop back down to around 50MB if there was a memory leak in previous versions I think you have a handle on it now. Al above was in UPnP mode listening on port 6346 Through Linksys router model# BEFSR41 ver3 comcast cable capable of 700 DL 45 UL I still occasionally have to reset router because INTERNET becomes very slow UL set at 35 after reset INTERNET speeds return to normal. I have not tested much while Port forwarding yet results were pretty crappy when I tried earlier UP dropped to 23 connections when searching and DL and would not connect to anymore host I let it run for a hour after DL completed it just sat there at 23 connections. Any way it appears to be pretty stable to me after the initial problems.

Running in UP port forwarding listening 6364 at first there was a firewall Icon but it disappeared after a few minutes. after about 10 minutes went to 29 & 8 connections did some searches and DL, 3 searches DL 60 files, connections I only lost 1, good search and DL results 0 corrupt files out of 60 DL all completed but 1 needed more sources could not find any but when I started it originally it only had 2. Memory still appears to me to have a leak when operating as UP with each new series of searches and DL memory usage would go up about 10MB and stay there highest I saw was 102MB and after all DL completed would drop to 98MB and stay there. If i minimize it will drop to 40MB if I bring LW back up it will creep up to around 76MB and stay there if I don"t do any DL. Currently 27 & 15 connected and all appears to be OK. Well done with testing for now gotta hit the road.
