I am running the Linksys BEFSR41 ver3 I am using Ethernet 3 computers on router. I have not checked to see if I have the most current firmware. And yes allot of the time all three are on the net. I will check to see if there have been any recent firmware updates and see if that solves the problem.

I used to run a BEFSR41 and I still have it just not in use that router for me at and excellent up time and rebooted it maybe once in awhile like maybe twice a month at the most

I have a Belkins 4 port router and the settings include Popular Apps so all I need to do is point>click>apply and ports are set. It automatically sets the Gnutella Network at 6346 and 6347 with both UDP and TCP modes. My CPU usage is showing up to 52,000 kb on LimeWire Debug activated. Pretty good since the 100,000 Plus days. No Firewall blockage now. No disconnects. Fingers crossed. I think the ride is slowing down.:D

Glad to see your back testing deacon72

And I do have the latest firmware maybe I just need to upgrade to a newer model. Been thinking about wireless but I am unsure if I want to go that route. Any way I don't mind having to reset

Grandpa the BEFSR41is a good router and I am not sure how soon but there will better wireless routers coming out that are way better than what I am using currently http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper

I never left the testing area Grandpa. I was watching the program malfunction. Hey on these ports, I have seen Peers using Ports 6346, 6347, and 6348. I opened all three now and have no problems getting files. Have you tried that??

Grandpa August 21st, 2005 08:36 AM

Yes I have opened allot of ports for LW and I find host on all of them. But 6346 is the only port that I don't see the firewall icon on. And that is the port that seems to work the best. I have 5 ports open right now.

Do you think it is possible for there to be a "range" of 46?? to 46?? that would better facilitate d/ls and u/ls in the LimeWire Program. I see some of the spammer sites are using multiples of IP "ranges".

Grandpa August 21st, 2005 10:24 AM

Possibly I have noticed when I opened more ports more of my files are getting hits and more appear to be available for upload. If I gust use 46 there are only 6 out of 400 files that get DL all of the time and almost none of the others even get hits if I use any of the others say 48 all my files get hits and UL but people have a harder time trying to connect to me.
I have posted these results a couple of times and a explanation of what is happening. And ask for a explanation of why this happens but I have never got a response to it.

Well as I said I have ports 6346, 6347, and 6348 open and TCP/UDP both enabled. But after a few hours LimeWire Shut down again....Disconnected. Like before. I'd do a stack trace but only half my results ever show up. Too bad we can't just hit the bug report icon in the Options control panel and generate a comprehensive report that even a newbie like me could understand. Yep, too bad we can't. Well off to play again.
