Problems with Limewire update

I received a notification to update my Limewire, so I did, firstly to 4.9.23 and now to the beta version. Both updates recognised my old half-downloaded files (although they all only show them at 0%), but they start to download and then they freeze. I can still switch between Search and Library, but nothing happens on the downloads section (I had no problems on the old version).

I notice that (in the Library screen) the Shared files icon and the Saved files icon are complete and have a little down arrow next to them, but the Incomplete icon is broken and there is no arrow next to it.

Can anyone help with this, or if not is there a way of switching back to my old version of Limewire?

Firstly, there is no "true" BETA out for testing. The newest version of this prog is 4.9.28. It is still buggie, but that is the one being used used. Try that hand see if that helps

You are righ about LW (Pro) 4.9.28 being buggy, I must admit that this is the first time I have ever had problems with an official release.

LW Pro 4.9.28, upon installation, wiped out all my previous setting amd filters. I had to manually put them back in.

This release is the first that I have come across that cannot maintain a TurboCharged connection.

Over the weekend a download was "Aborted", I have never had an aborted download in previous releases.

LWPro seems to have a problem co-existing with the latest updates (29th August) used by PeerGuardian 2, although connected the firewall icon is constantly on. Eventually cured by rebooting my PC and leaving PG2 off.

And finally, to finish off my P2P session, LW Pro reported an "internet error" of some sort and froze my PC.

As I said previously, I have never had these kinds of problems before and all within a couple of days of installing 4.9.28. Therefore, I hope the next release brings us back to the standard of previous releases.
