LimeWire 4.9.32 Beta with CC Publishing support

Greetings,

LimeWire 4.9.32 Beta has been released. It features a tool that will let you publish mp3 and ogg files under a Creative Commons license.

You can download the beta at
http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml

You can learn more about Creative Commons at
http://www.creativecommons.org

Feedback is appreciated.

"Tools

"The item you requested does not exist on this server or cannot be served."

Seriously though, I was able to add a license to an audio file previously dl'ed from www.magnetmix.com, and later to remove the license.

I still am not clear what http address I would enter for my own files, and I expect to hear lots of confusion about that aspect.

re other problems:

with upload settings allowing 20 uploads per person and 20 uploads max, a 4.9.31 user got the "banned greedy client" treatment on the 5 th upload

That's a serious bug! I hope further work on the license branch should stop until other bugs, like the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError ones are fixed :)

vmem on OS 10.4.2 and LW 4.9.33Pro. Lots of small incompletes being resumed, and a total of about 6 GB of bandwidth used. Here's the chart:

Has LimeWire 4.9.33 been released? Also, when is LimeWire 5.0 coming? Thanks.

4.9.33 (same as 4.9.32 beta afaics) came out in the last two? days, but no mention in features history.. I imagine they are delaying the relaese of 5.0 as long as possible

Why the wait? Why can't LimeWire release version 5.0 now?

Customer Service

I want to know what is the customer service number to this company Lime Wire. I have an unauthoritied credit card charge from them.

Kellbell There is an etiquette, I think throughout Newsgroups and forums that you do not tag on totally irellevant messages onto the end of threads. Generally they will be ignored.

However..... A great many people "buy" Limewire from scam sites who take their money and send them over to Limewire to obtain what tends to be a free copy of Limewire basic, if they don't supply them with a doctored version containing spy ware or other harmful goodies.

I suspect you might be one of those people. If I'm wrong please accept my appologies. If you have a problem, people on this forum will gladly help, but afaik Limewire cannot be reached by phone.

I could also guess that a member of your family, or a coleague might have taken out Limewire membership using your card ... I'll stop guessing, but let us help. First question: What is the ammount of the charge you are disputing?

I was just about to delete their post as I already answered to their other one. But you 2 quickly answered before I ... lol :D

re LimeWire 4.9.35 beta Pro

I like the idea of generating a search tab from a download--it was useful finding more sources for a couple of downloads. Thanks for this including this feature, Martin and zab

Couple of suggestions, since most of my tries weren't helpful because they returned the wrong file type.:
-send the search term to the search box. That way it can be edited first
-or, at least add the file extension to the search term.

bug

when "search for keywords" is used from the library's incomplete folder, the leading "t" from the incomplete file is also sent to the new search tab.
