hi um.... is this legal because whenever i search for something the license column is always blank......

What's legal about what you downld is whether it is copyright or patent. If it's something you could buy instead then chances are it may breach copyright laws depending upon which country you're in. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/ftc.shtml BTW full DRM will be brought in in later versions of LW, & as soon as they can start to have everything forced to become DRM.
