Exclamation serious bug in 1.9 beta Mac OS classic

hi all

Thank you very much for releasing the 1.9 beta, I'm sure it is going to boost the gnutella net..hehe

But there (still) is a very ugly bug in the Mac OS classic version. I CAN'T EXIT THE CLIENT!
apple+Q doesn't work (of course), File / Close also fails. I must close it using ctrl+alt+apple everytime. Think this is why I lose my limewire.props ...

Besides this everything is running fine, no crashs or lockups.

Default fix - disable graceful shutdown

I ran into this problem too and then I thought about why LimeWire would not want to quit. Thinking about the new shutdown after transfers complete feature, I turned that option off and now I can quit normally.

Tools -> Options -> Shutdown -> Shutdown Immediately

Mac OS 9.1, downloaded the 1.9 beta about an hour ago.

I noticed that there were still issues in this area, although I thought I had cleared them up. I will hopefully get to this problem sometime next week. It is not fixed in the LimeWire 1.9b beta about to be posted in a couple of minutes.

Talking works!

Tools -> Options -> Shutdown -> Shutdown Immediately

worked, thanks efield!

Adam, maybe you can set the 'shutdown immediately' preference by default for Mac OS classic version

1.9c looks cool, I'm testing it right now

This is not a bad idea. It works well on Windows because it can just run in the system tray, but I can imagine this functionality being a bit annoying on the Mac, given that there's no way to exit right away without forcing quit once you get into this state.

Thoughts from any others on this?

This is all fixed in the latest beta -- the shutdown options don't exist for Mac Classic -- the program just closes.

Thanks for the input.
