Chat on new limewire

is there anyway to get this off? i've disabled it but does that mean it's completely off? Can I still have people talk to me? just wondering.

You can still open a chat window when disabled .
But it won't receive or transmit anything .
Other people won't see you are using a client that is capable off chat .
