Sorry for destroying your illusions but: you weren't born in the beginning of the computer era - you were born when the C16/64/128/VC20 and stuff were already dead and the first Amiga 1000 was released. With a GUI!!!
By the time you were only 10 years old there was Wi***!! :)

I guess you didn't even hear of a computer holding its complete OS in ROM and booting in less than 1 second. When 64k was a lot of RAM and a floppy disk (5 1/4") was able to hold 170kbyte!

I worked with an Amiga . :)

I know I'm a little late but close ...
I knew that before I posted it .

VIC 20? Wheres those cartridges at...I know I saw GORF around here somewhere...actually, thats the only one I remember, that and the one where the aliens are lined up and you hide behind little shields that get blown away slowly.
Of course that was 19 years ago and I was only like 4...
I think I still have the first joystick I ever owned lying around here somewhere...
I played gold box AD&D on my Commadore 64 into the 90's. Just think of the massive amount of time I spent waiting for endless combats to load in Curse of the Azure Bonds...

Early computer days

Sounds like neither of you will have worked with toys like Fortran 77 on a machine running on CPM86. We even had wordstar for compiling the CV & you were high tech if you managed to get one of the new monitors with an orange screen instead of the boring old green screen.
