get limewire music to wmp??
 

hey i just was wondering if theres a way to get the music in my limewiere library, to my wmp library

There are different ways to do it.

You can drag n drop files from LW to WMP.

Or open windows media player and on the toolbar go to File>Add to Library>By Monitoring Folders. Find your shared folder and add it to the list. The default location for your shared folder is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

Another way would be to set WMP as the default player, you'll also need to disable the LW player. In LW go to Tools>Options>Player, untick the box and click apply. Then when you play songs from in LW they will be added to WMP. See Using windows media player

Hi I've been trying to convert my limewire library over to wmp for ages I managed to do it once but have since had no success. Can someone please help as it's driving me insane.

Disable the LW player. In LW go to Tools>Options>Player, untick the box and click apply. Songs will now open in your default player.

To make WMP you default player(if it isn't already):
Open the folder with your songs outside of LW. An easy way to do that is to go to the library page in LW, hi-lite the audio folder then click the explore button (below the library folders window).

Then right click on one of your files > then click on "Properties" > then where it says "opens with" click on "Change". A box will open, click on "Windows Media Player" then click OK. Then click apply then OK. That should change the files back to WMP.
