download count

Hi guys, newbie here. Is there any way I can reset the little green icon next to the firewall indicator, the one that says "you are sharing X amount of files"?

Thanks for any information.

Er ... this indicator shows how many files you are sharing. On start up it increases in number until all your shared files are loaded. If you add more shared files via the Limewire Library, they will not load or show up on the counter until you press refresh. If you add them via preferences/options, they will not show up or dissapear until you press apply. When you do this the count returns to zero briefly, before counting up to the new number and uploads can be disturbed, temporarily. Removing files from share (not deleting) works the same way

I hope this helps, as your question was not totally clear:)

sorry it wasn't clear. My other half keeps moaning that I download too much, and he sees that counter that says how many files I'm sharing, and that just gives him more ammunition. I wondered if I could reset it, so that if he sees it, he'll think I'm not actually sharing too many and leave me alone!:rolleyes_2:

If you right click on the bar that shows the number of shared files, and uncheck beside "Show Shared Files Count", it won't show how many files your sharing.

Then just tell him your not sharing any;).

I'm begining to understand the problem now:)

Go to Tools>options>Status Bar>shared file indicator ... and dissable it.

Or .... you could always move the window down a little to hide all the writing along the bottom. I can do this with Mac. ... not sure if it's possible with Windows ... or just assure him it's the hours you have been online ... hmmm perhaps that's a worse idea lol :D or downoad some stuff he likes .... I think were entering relationship:ilzu: :ilzu: councelling here rather than Limewire use lol

Good luck :D:ilzu:
