An important question I recently got an ipod and i downloaded a music video and i thought it was supposed to automatically transfer to my itunes but it hasnt....any ideasa on how to get it onto itunes? :PEACE: |
No not unless you're using mac OSX will such files automatically import to iTunes. For windows, don't get confused with the LW Playlist you see. In fact, totally ignore it. It's simply a playlist that reflects what files you have in your LW downld folder & the actual files still haven't been added to iTunes properly. So to learn more about this, see How to transfer to my iPod (& iTunes) - for video about video information. And above that for how to add files properly to iTunes. |
i actually AM using a mac OSx i tried clicking and dragging but it wont settle in itunes,....it just shows a little green circle with an addition sign in it and it goes away once i release the click...im getting VERY frustrated...:shoot: |
It depends whether it is a proper mpeg4 or H.264 format video as to whether iTunes will add it. If it's not, you'd need to convert it. There's a no. of apps for osx that can do it. I think you may need QuickTime pro though. Actually to correct what I said earlier about iTunes automatically adding ... it only does it with music. For videos you need to add them manually. Unless you change something in the LW support files in the prefs folder. I tried it out about a year ago & it worked. |
