can't get connected
 
hi have had limewire pro for about a year now, i can not get connected since my support ran out used to report it then it would come back on. I got a message telling me I had missed my re using for a decreased fee they said I could keep using it but I cant get connected have checked my exceptions on my firewall and it is on the list do I have to pay for pro again I can't even download the free version now hope you can help colin

It would of been coincidental that it started working just after you reported it...
Your issue sounds like it lays with your ISP...
Can you give us your details please....

I am having the same problem but when I try to contact LW it tells me the email address I purchased LWPro with is not the correct one (its the only one I have). Unable to connect since the support ran out also. What the hell is going on my firewall is configured to allow it also. have been able to connect in the past its only since NTL changed over to Virgin I have been having problems connecting!!!

hi colin muscle cured my problem by paying again since then have had no trouble at all and the downloads are really turbo charged. All this is new to me so if you get this reply let me know Bonkers

colinmuscle try deleting your preference folder as sometimes it can get corrupted and needs to be freshened up lol...
I'd say that is what has happened to bonkers by updating the version of Pro it automatically deleted the old preference folder and created a new one...
You can also try updating your Java using the JRE offline installer...

As far as I know Virgin are fine at the moment as another forum member uses them and all is good...

hi have had trouble with my new download of limewire paid for it again for 7 days everything was super now back to having to ring support every day to get a connection. My system must be ok as i have been turbo connected for about a week .Hope someone can help bonkers

Bonkers I think you must of got your version of limewire from a scam site because you cannot ring support with the official limewire Pro you can only email...:rolleyes:

hi didnt meen to say i rang limewire support meant i e mailed them have just had two days of turbo downloads now can not get connected again, am going to E MAIL them again should be O K within 3 hours, what i needed to know was there anything i could do to save having to contact them all the time Bonkers
