playlists

:o This may sound really DOH.......... but how can i clear a playlist if i dont wanna save it???

If you mean from within the LW Library, just highlite the files in the playlist window and click the remove button(below the playlist). Be sure not to click the delete button or you'll delete the files form you computer.
