movie files too big.

Hello everyone hopefully someone can help me out. I downloaded a certain movie and I used DVD flick to change it from AVI. but when I go to burn it it says that the file is too big for the disc. So is there a programe that I can download to make it smaller for the disc. Please help thank you.

Does DVD Flick allow you to predetermine what size the movie will be? Blank DVDRs say that they are 4.7 GB, but they really only fit about 4.4 GB. Aim for this size if you can. This program will allow you to shrink movies to fit:

DVD Shrink: Shrink your DVDs to fit DVDR!

Good Luck

Mega = million (there are 1 million, or 1,000,000 bytes in each megabyte)
Giga = billion (there are 1 billion, or 1,000,000,000 bytes in each gigabyte)

There are 1,000 megabytes in each gigabyte.

So...if a DVD holds 4.7 GB, that means it holds 4,700 MB. However, as I said before, this isn't exactly true, for reasons that I won't go into. A DVD will hold around 4.4 GB, which means it will hold 4,400 MB. Aim for this size when you create your DVD.

Good Luck :D

What exactly did you try? I don't use that program, so I can't be of much help there. You may want to recreate the DVD? I'm not sure if that would be easier.

I use NeroVision Express 3 and it automatically downsizes it for you.
