I was using lime wire and it was working fine! but when ever the computer started up lime wire automatically opened! and after a while it was getting annoying! so i removed the program plus all three java programs that i came with it! then i still got messages coming up on the screen about lime wire! I only removed the program because of its annoyance otherwise it was one of the best applications i have! so can anyone me out with this?

Easy !
But it does help to do some RTFM first ! ;)

In LimeWire, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > System Startup.
Untick the box that says 'run on start up'.

Ta da !!!

Ah, wunnnnnerfulll.... LW Start-Up prob solved...

BUT

But, no can help you here in these forums with your query re: Word as it ain't legal to discuss these things here, right ? !
(Nor is this LimeWire Forum the correct place for such stuffffff !
Better to address non-LimeWire questions to the Tips & Tricks Forum here !)

And, for any probs re: things like Word, you must state what version of the Office Suite you are talking about... i.e. Office 2000 or 2003 or 2007...

Do a Google search for the Word (Office) prob... You are probably lacking the basic Office Setup file and related files.

In other words, a BAD & BS 'copy' from a pirate ! :w00t:

Start Up Issue

Open Limewire. Go to TOOLS, then select OPTIONS, go down the menu on the left of the window and select ADVANCED, then select SYSTEM START UP. Make sure you UNCHECK the box that says "run on system start up". Then Limewire will only open when you do it on purpose. I hope this helps.

no offense to lime wire but i am using another program due to the fact that evreytime i install or uninstall the program it becomes a constant flaw! so i ended up going to bestfreeware.com | Best Free Ware | Best Free | Free Ware | Winzip P.S do not download Podmailing because it doesn't even allow you to use the peer to peer networking downloads. Its more or less another program that sits on your computer until deleted. anyways write in the search tab "file sharing freeware" then click on the third one down which says; click on it then you can download it free! its anyones choice! Limewire works spectacular fast and easy. but annoying when you or someone else decides to uninstall or reinstall the program. my problem with limewire was the fact that it started up automatically and it was annoying in a sense of the word! I did get a reply when asking for info regarding the problem on this site forum, and i had carried out the steps shown above by clicking in the appropriate places. Then when i restarted my computer and ever since the program has pop up messages on mine as well so thats why i have gone ahead to the above file sharing program.
