Quality Problem With MP3 Sound

Hello, guys. Seems when I am downloading a song and preview the song it sounds fine, using LW preview player. When the song is totally downloaded to my computer, in the MP3 format, the quality has degraded a bit, crackling etc. Anyone able to help with this? Thanks....$Bill...JMO,ICBW

OK, here's the deal. I finally fixed it myself. In my Nvidia I turned off Dolby(R) Surround Encoding and the tiny sound was gone,,,,,,,BUT,,,,,,,,Thanks a ton for the VLCMP suggestion. It gives the WMP the 6 and the breaks, oops, sorry. I am a pool player and post on most of the pool forums. What that translates to in English, sorry another pool term, LOL, as meaning the VLC player's quality is a 10 and the WMP is more like a 7. Very glad you suggested it.
