Trick for speeding/resuming downloads

I've found when you have a slow download or a "busy host" message that highlighting the download, clicking pause then clicking resume speeds up or continues the download 9 times out of 10.
Try it, you'll like it.

Hello and Question About a Shuffle Feature

Hello All, I am new at this fourum feature and in addition to saying hello, can anyone tell me if LimeWire has an "audio shuffle feature" or not. If so, how does it work?

Thanks,

Robert14

no, limewire is not a music player, use the player to test to see if it is the real song that you wanted. it does not burn cd's or do laundry either

The LW player isn't very good & I'd recommend using another player, but if you do want to use it then go tools > options > player & tick the box to use LW's player.

There is a shuffle feature. Once you've created a playlist Making a playlist you can choose 'continuous' or 'shuffle' play.

heres a trick you can use on limewire to give u faster speed on your download. and will give you more people to download from.. clck on tools then options go to speed and set the speed on t3 or higher...even if you have dial up set it on t3 or higher. and you will get way faster downloads.

The best way to use LW is to keep it running. There are too many variables for there to be any definitive tricks or tips to make LW work better/faster all the time. I think that's why you can't get a benchmark to compare your setup with. Also share, because the more users that share the more files there are for us all to DL. I may be wrong, if so please let me know. Stew
