Unhappy Help my Dad screwed me over

Does anyone know how i can retrieve all my songs back. My dad uninstalled both my limewire and my i-Tunes. Can anyone walk me through on how to retrieve all my 1687 songs back? Or am i just going to have to live without my music. Plz Help. .

Well it depends on whether he deleted the songs as well. Pretty much just be careful that you don't install programs or move things around if he did.

What kind of computer is it? (operating system etc.)

Both finding and recovering stuff is different whether you are on a PC or a Mac, or some third one.

My computer is a laptop, it is a Compaq, windows vista.
I havent moved anything around yet. i believe he only uninstalled my itunes and limewire. only uninstalled from the uninstall thingy in control panel.

Then try and use the file search option in Vista to look for a song you know is in the music folder.

Hey Arkvoodle, Hopefully you regularly defrag your hard drive,if you do then it is easier to recover the files and hopefully you have not moved or added any files since this happened,or defragged afterwards.I take it that everything was even removed from the recycle bin as well,huh? Well go here Undelete Plus - Free file recovery software. Retrieve accidentally deleted files.It has retrieved files for me that I thought were lost forever. It is a GREAT and FREE program that will recover lost files for you! YAY!

Hint: When you undelete the files undelete them to a flash drive,CDRW or other such device,it makes it much more likely to get the files back completely intact.
