help me get limewire.

im having probs, once i download limewire i go and click on icon
it wont appear. please help

Firstly just make sure limewire is not still running in your processes in the task manager (ctrl-alt-delete) if it is select the end now option...

If it isn't try these fixes...
Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(5th one down)

Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder...

something simular happened to me a few times, and it even re-installed limewire a few times using the link created by the installation of limewire
how i fixed it was to go create a shortcut on the desktop to the limewire file, it is the same as the one limewire places on the desktop, but i have not had any problems since i created a new shortcut to the file
"C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire.exe"
just right click on the desktop and choose NEW and then choose SHORTCUT to create a shortcut and paste the addy into the space provided and see if that helps, it fixed my trouble, hope it helps fix yours

Limewire is probably broken then. Uninstall java and limewire. tthen reinstall java and then limewire. see if that works
