Question Sharing ?

i am new to the forum and enjoy limewire....But can anyone tell me whats the deal with sharing? is it a good thing, bad thing, ... i have heard "they" cant get you if you dont share. but LimeWire is kinda saying that it is a good thing to share but not everything that you have. so... can anyone inform me of the "new rule of thumb"

Sometimes people won't allow you to download from them if you don't share. It's called "freeloading''. If you share illegal content, then it's bad. You can get in trouble. If it's legal, it's good to share.

LimeWire is all about File Sharing. Not sharing any files is like attending a pot luck and bringing only your fork.

Trouble comes when sharing (a lot of) copyrighted stuff. There are a great many movies, songs, etc. that are in the public domain and can be shared without worry.

Browse a few hosts - you'll see good and bad examples of file sharing, i.e., some people share their entire hard drive, as if we would want to download their 'letter to mom' or their last year's tax return. That's not only stupid, it's like bringing only horseradish to the pot luck.
