Sharing ?

i am new to the forum and enjoy limewire....But can anyone tell me whats the deal with sharing?

is it a good thing, bad thing, ... i have heard "they" cant get you if you dont share. but LimeWire is kinda saying that it is a good thing to share but not everything that you have. so... can anyone inform me of the "new rule of thumb"
