I read about limewire pro but what do you think about it?

I have heard that the searches are not really that much better and the speed isnt either. Have you had a different experience with it? my lime wire (free) goes pretty fast right now but i would like more search results and if limewire pro provides a decent amount more it would be more than worth my money.

Pro is better for seeking rarer files. If you are only seeking very popular files, then the speeds will not be that much better if at all, depending whether you are already maximizing your download speeds at present.

Connecting to 5 Ultrapeers instead of 3 helps in a small way in seeking further for those rarer files. One advantage Pro has is the ability to download from 10 instead a maximum of 8 hosts per download. The improvements in Pro are generally only subtle & the program itself looks identical. :)

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/limewi...tml#post330034 is an example of downloading from 10 hosts per file. Of course my bandwidth is reasonably high. :)

I'd suggest using LW Basic for some time before even considering upgrading to Pro. Knowing how to get the best out of LW should be known otherwise you may find yourself disappointed. ;)

I noticed slightly faster search results and notably faster downloads with Pro (I have good bandwidth).
Some people report the same results with Frostwire (free).
Phex has also received good reviews.

If your highness is ready to venture beyond the limits of the Gnutella net, pm me and I'll send info re torrent downloading. Though I would follow the suggestions from LotR if you're still rather new to all this.

There are a few ways to improve your downloads without investing more $.
