so thats how the little *******s operate, personally i think they should have their ip address published so we can all send them so much crap that they collape under its weight.
as always govt. regs and laws are way behind when it comes to p2p, if it affected them just see how quick they would act.

I'm sure their IP addys are in the PeerGuardian 2 database...the problem is plenty of people (who's IPs are not in the PG2 base) don't use PG2 and they down the files and spread them further....

Have you checked the songs with more than one player? VLC - (click on link) even though is primarily a video play will play all audio files you find on gnutella network. If VLC cannot play the file you know the file is bad. If the skipping also occurs with VLC then you know the file is bad.

is there a simple way of stopping the junk that i get when i search ?
say i search for a movie. i get the same junk no matter what i'm looking for, so i turn the junk filter on and now i get no results in the search at all. go advanced and try more searches but have the same results.
as i said is there a simple way to prevent this ? (no computer gobble gook)
i notice that it is intermitent though, if i get really annoyed at LW i go away for a few months and when i come back it works perfectly for at least one or two times and then the same problems arise again.
LW 5 really bugged me so i'm on 4.16 which i really like the look of and the features, if only i could get the little bugger to work properly.

Always going to be spammers out there. Sometimes it's worse than others due to how close the spammers come into your search horizon. Sometimes you might be connected directly to a spammer that is in ultrapeer mode, that's when the spam gets incredibly bad. Some tips here which also applies to video How to find music

As for the junk filter, set it to show junk at bottom of search results. Also, turn the filter strength down lowish. I think mine is set at about 5-10% (near far left of slider.) I've been testing vuze and lime and guess what vuze is better than this crap these lame *** techies are trying to pimp out to all the people who want the simplest stuff, it took my 2 hours to get one song from lime then i tried vuze, 2 min man, I'm sick of my downloads telling me waiting too, waited an hour for limecrap to tell there's no hosts witch were numbering in the 10's.

LOTR: No offense, but Phex is a waste of time too, almost all its connections are Limewire, and when it connects to Limewire ALL the same problems are there. Phex says it filters, but I don't see it, and when I filter, there is nothing real left, so Phex is just Limewire with a different face.

no...Phex is NOT LW with a different face....that's Frostwire....
