confused

sorry but new to this with lots of questions
1 how is it possible that someone sharing my music(which all I download) could get into my hard drive? would hate to share my hard drive by accident!
2 what is Requery sent, waiting..... mean?
3 what does it mean when something is highligthed in green that I did not click on, ?
4 Once something is in my playlist do I have to "save" it to keep there for next time Im on line?..and what is the save option for?? once Ive downloaded a song and put into the playlist can I put it anywhere else on my comp. so that I dont have to go into limewire to hear it?..I have the new imac with osx..
I am familiar with os9 but this is new to me..and I notice when I try to "save" my playlist anywhere in the "save to "window I never have the "save" option available to me only "browse" and that is an endless trial of options with no .'put in' and "save" option..
sorry but Im confused!! wish there was manual called limewire and mac osx for dumbies!! any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated, txs mercedes

1- if you don't select your entire hard drive to share, no one will have access to it. the only files other users have access to is the folder you designate as Shared.

2- it means that the user(s) who has the file you are looking for either went off the network, or the number of people currently downloading the file from that user has reached the limit - you can put a limit on how many people can download files from you at one time.

3- the connections in green are more accurate than the ones in black.

4- your playlist is just a file management window, not the actual files. as you already know, you cannot save files "inside" any application. if you go to LimeWire->Preferences->Saved, you will see exactly where your downloads are being saved - most likely, in your user directory under Shared. you do not need to move these files to be able to launch them in any application. if you have music files you want to play in iTunes, simply open up iTunes, then drag the files onto the iTunes interface, to automatically create a playlist.
