LimeWire stucks at "Loading User Interface"
 

I've been happily using the most recent version of LimeWire. Last time I tried to open it, during startup of the application, it got stuck at "Loading User Interface" and didn't complete the start-up. I can still Quit it, but nothing else. Since then, I've un-installed and re-installed the application, trashed all prefernces associated with LimeWire - but all in vain. It won't start-up any more, always getting stuck at the same place ("Loading User Interface").
Any advice?
