download troubles
 

I've installed latest version for MAC OSX but got
out.txt and err.txt on desktop. Tried downloading and I get tunes in incomplete folder not able to go to desktop...help please, thanks.

.Out and .err are installer log files. Out will be empty, .err can be useful for troubleshooting install problems, but you can trash 'em both. Incompletes are just that. Completed files are in the Shared folder, usually in your Home folder--they don't download to the desktop.

thanks for your help, mind if i ask another question? i ditched the .out and .err as you recommended but now i find songs are downloading in my library but only in an incomplete folder. i click on them, they are red, and try to send to the MP3 list. They go but then i can't get them to my Ipod. Perhaps i'm a total spaz, anyway thanks for the help.

not at all K . . . ask away. Sorry I missed your reply: you could try searching these forums an answer--there's lots of suggestions here while waiting and some entertaining reading.

In case you didn't already find out--the incompletes are just that, incomplete. That folder is where LW stored downloads in progress. Once complete (if ever), the files are transferred to the "Shared" folder. You should try to avoid messing with incompletes: think of them as "busy" files.

Can't help you much with the iPod stuff. I just searched for "ipod" and came up with some other threads. Here's one for starters ipod

BTW-there's lots of spam masquerading as good files, so trash any junk that completes: you don't want to end up sharing junk. Try to only share tried, true, and tested files to help others.
