LimeWirePro for OSX

I have installed Limewire onto my G4 and then decided to pay for an upgrade to Limewire Pro. Everything went according to plan until I tried to download the Pro version. All I get is the same basic version downloaded as before. I am now getting very frustrated after 4 hours of trying to get what I paid for!!!! Am I stupid or what. Please someone tell me what to do!

Basically the PRO is the same as the basic version. There are some improvemnts but the optic is the same.

Does this mean that I have just wasted my money and how come I can't see any difference or is it not downloaded.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for sounding stupid.

I would never pay for it.

The PRO looks like the basic version, there are only a few technically improvements.

r is it not downloaded
Did you use the link which Limewire sent you after you paid? If so you have your PRO version.

Also you can change the look of the Lime to look more, "Pro-ish" by changing the skins.

Pro presently connects to 5 ultrapeers whereas LW free connects to 4 unless it's lucky. Correct me if I'm wrong here anybody. You also get the other small xtras with pro. eg: better chat options.
If you're not sure whether you dwnlded it or not, as a pro user you should have a personal update & dwnld page. You can always redwnld by checking your dwnld page see here (click on link) & type in your email. Whilst the diffs b/w Pro & free are not dramatic, consider it's not very much really & it's for a good cause. It's almost like a donation really. Imagine if there were no LW (went bust for financial reasons.)

LimeWire Pro for OSX

 Just as Janice, I have donwloaded five times the same installer file for PRO, shown as being 5.7Mb large but actually being 4.7Mb, and causing no difference at all after uninstalling and reinstalling: the unapparent "PRO" version keeps on inviting me to "upgrade" to PRO for USD 18.00 I've already paid.

Is the link, pointing to the wrong installer file?

No useful feeback from the support page.

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Throw your LW in the trash on osx or uninstall it in windows. Go to http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...pro_lookup.jsp and download your PRO version. Install it and you shouldn't get the upgrade notice anymore.

Bonne chance

Merci !

It worked!

I am no longer getting the invitation to upgrade, but I now run into more trouble: the application closes immediately after launching, and I never get past the initial warning that tells me it can't restablish previous downloads.

Au secours !

Salut jmalo, you are on windows right? Go in program files -limewire and move all the files in there at an other place like the desktop. Reinstall LW Pro. Does it crash again at startup? If no move again manually the files that were in your old shared folder (in the files of the LW folder you moved) to the new in the limewire folder in program files while LW is closed. Then start LW.

Bonne chance :)
