unable to uninstall beta
 
HI, I have a mac ibook G3, and been trying to remove LimeWire from the computer but i keep getting a message saying that its owned by the root. It wont give me the access to remove it. Help!!

That's rough! Are you logged in as admin? Do a safe start & repair permissions: SAFE START & Permissions (click me) By the way, it's a good idea to repair permissions both before & after you install softw. It's a good idea to keep your Java up to date for LW!!

If you have a G3, is it dual OS startup? You could bootup in OS9 & delete it. OR/& startup with a startup disk (OS9/X) & delete it then.

I cant believe i didnt think of switching to os9. I havent used it in awhile. A long while, LOL! And thanks for the other info, it will come in handy if i fact that with other programs, yes i am sys admin so I dont know why it was giving me a problem.
