Default enabling open information sharing won't stop

I installed the free version of Limewire on a Mac OSX v10.4.1.
Everything installed fine, but when I started to search audio files
The "enabling open information sharing" window opens, the little lime in the upper right hand corner spins for about two minutes, then stops, without any search results. Does anybody know how to fix this?
