how to play avi files on mac?
 
Please, i've got a lot of divx avi files, but i can't watch them...
Is there a divx player running on os 9.2?

don't know but you can download "DivXMac50a2.bin.sit.sit". You can read the avi with quick time

You need to download some codecs and other tools:

http://doctor.3ivx.com/download.html

Here you'll find some divx codecs and DivX Doctor , which allows you to convert Divx into standard Quicktime files. This information appears in the Gnutella Forums FAQ.


Also install all three of these codecs for standard .avi files:

http://download.info.apple.com/Apple...ideo_3.smi.bin

http://download.info.apple.com/Apple...ideo_4.smi.bin

http://download.info.apple.com/Apple...ideo_5.smi.bin

Make sure all of the codecs go into your extensions folder inside the system folder. You'll have to restart after installing them.

NOTE: These will not work on OSX.
