deborah, Its not your Mac. I am getting the same thing also. They will put out a fix for this soon.

I'm having the same problems after downloading and installing the upgrade. Who will come up with a fix and how will we find it?

"ClassNotFoundEexception" again

Seem to be a common (and longstanding?) bug =:-(

If anyone of you dev guys read this; the message goes:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code)
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source)
at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java)

(I'm running the code on a Mac G3 (blue/white) w firmware updated, OS 9.2.2, latest carbon lib and MRJ installed)

Anyone having an idea how to workaround this?
/Erik

ME TOO!

I launched Limewire and it says I should upgrade. I go to the site, upgrade and then just as everyone stated, couldn't open it up!

COME ON!

Me too.

Yup! I have the same problem but a friend has had no problems running OS9.2!! Need this fixed

I'm having the same problem too, and I know it has something to do with
the fact that mac OS before mac OS X doesn't have a compiler to run the
java program that limewire uses, so it doesn't understand "public class xxxx main(String[] void...)
which is a standard opening for java programs. So how do we get a compiler
for mac? Well, that's what I'm trying to figure out myself (since i also need
one to run java programs for my java class). I know there's "CodeWarrior"
which compiles java for macs, but that thing ranges in price from $250 to
$1250. Anybody out there know where I can download a free version of
CodeWarrior?
