New Mac user, different Mac problem

I just downloaded the newest version (2.8.something) and installed it just fine. However, when I click on the icon, it runs through all of the beginning screen and then nothing happens. I installed the Java update, restarted my computer, etc..,etc.. Why won't this thing work? I'm online.

Got smart (I thought) Downloaded Limewire classic. Still having the same problem. HELP PLEASE

Try here to download an older version of LimeWire. From what I understand, 2.7.13 is the last "working" version. There are alot of bugs in 2.8.5.
